Emerging Leader in Innovation Scholarship
Sponsored by Jason Torf
The Annandale High School PTSA will award a $3,000 scholarship sponsored by Jason Torf. The scholarship is renewable for up to three consecutive years, not to exceed $12,000. Mr. Torf’s desire is the scholarship benefit an Annandale High School senior pursuing a STEM-related major at an accredited 4-year university, and who otherwise could not afford to attend college. The scholarship will be awarded based on how well the student exemplifies: a passion for learning, curiosity in the world around them, and a desire to build a better future.

The Donald Clausen Visual or Performing Arts Scholarship

The Annandale High School PTSA awards a $2,500 scholarship honoring former AHS principal Donald Clausen. It was Mr. Clausen’s desire that the scholarship benefit students who plan to pursue a career in the visual or performing arts.
The James Finch Service and Leadership Scholarship
Sponsored by Annandale High School PTSA
The Annandale High School PTSA established a scholarship in honor of James Finch, a former principal of AHS. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, school spirit, community service, and a high level of involvement in extracurricular activities and who meets the PTSA selection criteria. Academics will be considered, but are not a priority.
The John V. Ponton ESOL-to-College Scholarship
Sponsored by Annandale High School PTSA
The Annandale High School PTSA awards a $2,500 scholarship honoring Principal John Ponton, a former principal who retired in 2010. It is Mr. Ponton’s desire that the scholarship benefit AHS seniors who have successfully completed the AHS ESOL program and are planning to attend either a 4-year college or university or a community college upon graduation from Annandale High School.
The Ray Watson Technical Degree Scholarship

The Annandale High School PTSA established a scholarship in honor of Ray Watson, former principal of Annandale High School. A scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded to an AHS senior who plans to enroll in a community college or technical degree/certificate program with clear career goals.
