Alice's Kids

Alice’s Kids is a non-profit organization that provides short term financial assistance to children with an immediate need. Relying on referrals from almost 500 teachers, social workers and counselors, Alice’s Kids pays for the desired item and, to preserve the dignity of the child, they do so anonymously. If you have a need, please contact your school counselor (703)642-4112 and ask them to contact Alice's Kids on your behalf.  Assistance is typically in the $50-100 range.

Donors Choose

Donors Choose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Annandale High School teachers create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.  Check out Mrs. Tartar's Sewing For Success project and request for assistance funding four sewing machines that will impact 500 students.

Kids R First

Kids R First, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to education and to help give kids (grades K-12) from families with limited financial means the same opportunities as their peers, by receiving their school supplies and mini-scholarships funded at the high school level for those college or career bound.  All of these students qualify for free or reduced-priced meals at their school. In 2015, 25,000 kids (grades K-12) received their supplies at 90 schools in Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools.  Thanks in part to a $500 donation from the Annandale High School PTSA, qualifying AHS students will receive school supplies for the 2017-2018 school year.
